OVERVIEW: This is a SUPERB example of a fabulous Tete Jumeau 8! She has perfect, FLAWLESS BISQUE. Her original Jumeau body retains all the ORIGINAL FINISH. She is fully dressed in ALL-ANTIQUE factory layers. AND she is gorgeous! Here are the details:
HEAD: Her bisque head is perfect with no hairlines, chips or repairs. In addition, I see no factory imperfections or signs of wear. This is a superior bisque head in every way! She has blue paperweight eyes and her lips are accented and shaded. Her very numerous lashes are long and lush. She retains her original cork pate and her original coil neck attachment. She wears a marvelous waist-length antique French human hair wig. She is marked with the usual Tete Jumeau stamp, her size number, 8, and several artist’s marks.
BODY: Her original body has two stickers, Bebe Jumeau / Diplome Honeur, and France. There is a working crier. The finish is entirely original with no repairs or repainting. There is wear to the back of one knee joint and nothing else to report.
CLOTHES: She is extremely well dressed in all-antique/original factory clothing. Her superb factory dress has many fine details that I hope can be seen in my photos. The yoke has numerous vertical pintucks, and there is a wide ruffle across the bodice with three rows of lace. Two decorative triangular straps with buttons hang from the ruffle down to her waist. The waist is dropped and the full skirt is all box pleats. Underneath, she wears a three-piece matched set of factory unders, all made from the same fabric and lace. The half-slip has a double ruffle, one on top of the other. Her chemise has a single matching ruffle, as do her bloomers. All pieces close with drawstrings. She has tan silk stockings and white leather shoes. Finally, she wears a burgundy felt hat with a large matching feather. The yoke on the dress has some frailty. He slip and chemise have some mending. Otherwise, the condition is very good and all clothing fits her perfectly.
