About Us
I have been selling antique dolls since 1996, and my dolls are unconditionally guaranteed. It is my goal for you to be absolutely delighted with each and every purchase. I will respond promptly to your inquiries and purchase orders, and your purchases will be packed with the utmost care.
I am a retired Postmaster and a Graduate Gemologist. I am also a qualified jewelry appraiser, although I do not currently work in this field. This basically means that I now admire very high quality gems and jewelry that I cannot afford, and that I would have absolutely no opportunity to wear. :-)
My husband, Jeff, is a Registered Maine Guide. We spend as much time as possible at Chesuncook Lake, located deep in the heart of the North Maine Woods. Along with our Springer Spaniels, we enjoy many outdoor activities, such as kayaking, canoeing, snowmobiling, fishing and hiking.
Living part-time at the lake, we are very remote with no land lines, no reliable cell service, and no electricity. However we do have gas appliances, solar power, and a satellite internet connection, so I am able to operate Faraway Antique Shop even from this remote location.
